Ella McIntyre joins the Hallé Children’s Choir

Ella McIntyre joins the Hallé Children’s Choir, as one of just 80 youngsters from across Greater Manchester and beyond.

The Hallé Children’s Choir; founded in 2008, offers children one of the very best possible introductions to singing at the highest level in a range of styles, and we are delighted to announce that our very own Ella McIntyre has been chosen to join.

Welcoming children from all walks of life to audition, members receive tutoring to develop pitch, tone and sense of rhythm, and are encouraged to learn to read music, whilst working towards memorable performances with the Hallé and other Hallé Ensembles.

Ella and her fellow members attend weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays, with the Children’s Choir Director; Shirley Court and Assistant Director, Matthew Roughley in preparation for concerts with the Hallé’s Music Director; Sir Mark Elder, and other visiting international artists.

Everyone here is absolutely delighted for Ella and incredibly proud of her achievement as one of only 80 young singers from across Greater Manchester and beyond, to be recognised for their outstanding talent.
