Examinations for Summer 2023:

Summer Examinations: GCE, Level 3, GCSE, and Level 1 Qualifications

Students and parents/carers should be aware that these exams are important; it is essential students prepare themselves appropriately including structured revision and plenty of rest.

Please ensure you are prepared and ready to start the exams at the stated times.

Students have been provided with their individual exam schedules and the JCQ Instructions to candidate brochure, both should be studied carefully.

Exam contingency for the summer 2023 exams: the awarding bodies have therefore introduced two additional half-day contingency sessions.  These are on Thursday 8 June 2023 and Thursday 15 June 2023.  The standard contingency day remains at the end of the timetable being scheduled on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

Exams Information (External)

Before and during public examinations students may also have important internal exams, subject specific deadlines for completion of coursework, and controlled assessments. This information will be provided to students by subject teachers as and when available.

JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications)

We are required to conduct examinations and assessments for general qualifications in accordance with the JCQ regulations* and awarding bodies' instructions. The school is regularly inspected (without prior notification) to ensure that these regulations are being implemented.
