Year 11 mock exams:
Information for students & parents/carers
On Monday 12 October, the Education Secretary announced that the 2021 exam series will take place.
The only difference to the normal exam series is that the majority of exams will be delayed by three weeks. Exams will start on 7 June and end on 2 July 2021, with one Maths and one English Language paper scheduled before the May half term.
The announcement from the Education Secretary stated that further details will be provided after the October half-term but stressed, at this point, there are no plans to change exam content and all GCSE and A-Level exam content will remain the same.
Now that we have had confirmation that the exams in Summer 2021 will go ahead, we have been planning the GCSE and A-Level mock timetable. The mock exam window will be Monday 30 November to Wednesday 9 December 2020 and all exams will take place in the Sports Hall or the Sixth Form Drama Studio (Room 622). Both venues are large enough to seat all candidates socially distantly.
Students will received a copy of their mock exam timetable in school.
A copy of the mock GCSE (Year 11) timetable is attached below.

Exams Information (External)
Before and during public examinations students may also have important internal exams, subject specific deadlines for completion of coursework, and controlled assessments. This information will be provided to students by subject teachers as and when available.
JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications)
We are required to conduct examinations and assessments for general qualifications in accordance with the JCQ regulations* and awarding bodies' instructions. The school is regularly inspected (without prior notification) to ensure that these regulations are being implemented.
*The key JCQ documents for students (referred to by JCQ as 'candidates') are shown below.
