A Level and BTEC Success

Good luck to our future historians, criminologists and journalists!

Our Year 13 students are celebrating today, following an amazing set of A Level and BTEC results.  Headteacher Kim Earle, who joined the school in January said, “I am incredibly proud of our students and all they have achieved!  These results are down to sheer hard work on their part, and are testament to our wonderful staff who teach and support them all so admirably.  I know the previous Headteacher, Mr Brooks, would also like to pass on his congratulations. I wish our students every success for the future.”

Students have accepted their places at university this September to study a range of courses such as, English, History, Law, Criminology, Journalism, Fashion, Sports Science and many more!  This is a reflection of the wide variety of A Level and BTEC subjects available to study at Altrincham College’s Sixth Form.

The day has brought many individual success stories, including David Butler (A*A*AA) who will study Computer Science at the University of Birmingham, Robert Curtis (AAAC) who is heading to the University of Sheffield to read History, Taylor Breen (ABB) has accepted a place at the University of Manchester to study Criminology and Olivia Donnelly gained an A and 2 distinction stars to study journalism at Salford.  We also have students taking on apprenticeships, employment and beginning their gap year.

Student Ganesh, who is going to the University of Liverpool to study Medicinal Chemistry with Pharmacology, said, “The teachers at Altrincham College have been very supportive, giving me lots of help and advice.  I’ll miss coming to Sixth Form every day.”

We look forward to welcoming all new Year 12 students in September and wish our 2019 alumni the very best of luck for the future!

We still have a few remaining places in our Sixth Form available for September 2019.  Please contact us on 0161 980 7173 to arrange a visit with the Head of Sixth Form and chat about your aspirations.
