Fantastic GCSE Results!

Statement from Mr Brooks

Congratulations to our Year 11 students celebrating fantastic GCSE results in school today. As well as celebrating individual successes we are also celebrating a huge improvement in our overall school results, the first year of the tougher Grade 9-1 GCSE’s being introduced in virtually all subjects.

This year students have had to sit approximately 35 hours of examinations for the new GCSE specifications, around 10 hours more than in previous years. Students and staff took all of this in their stride and I am delighted all their hard work has been rewarded. A huge well done to everyone!

We very much look forward to many of our students returning to join the Sixth Form at the start of September, who are also celebrating after achieving best ever A level results.

Peter Brooks, Headteacher

There are still some remaining places in the Sixth Form on both A level courses and vocational programmes.  Students who have not applied, but would like to take up a place, are very welcome to contact Ms Tovey to discuss course options and availability.

External students who wish to apply to the Sixth Form are invited to visit the School on Friday 24th August between 10am-12pm.  Students should bring their GCSE results with them.
