Reporting Student Absence from School
It is very important that you contact school by 8.45am at the very latest if your child/ward will not be coming to school that day, to enable attendance staff to both update student registers and inform teaching staff of student absences.
If your child/ward is absent for more than one day, we require you to report their absence by 8.45am each day that they are absent from school.
When reporting an absence, please include the following information in your message:
- Student’s full name
- Student’s class
- Reason for absence
- Your name and your relationship to the student
Please use one of the following methods to report your child/ward’s absence by 8.45am:
- Call 0161 980 7173 and choose option 1 to leave a voice message.
- Text 07860 097797 (this number is for text messaging only)
Absences should NOT be reported direct to any members of staff or any other email inboxes (including headteacher@altrinchamcollege.com) as this will cause a delay in the attendance team receiving and processing the information.
