January 2022
We would like to remind parents and carers of Year 11 students of the forthcoming GCSE Upgrade and Revision after-school sessions. These sessions are being offered to students from January until the February half-term initially. They will be organised on an invitation basis only and students will be notified if they are required to attend by their subject teachers. Intervention will then be reviewed, with the potential of further additional sessions being offered.
Students will have been selected based on a range of criteria, including: underperforming in their mock exams and not achieving their target grade, additional support needed with specific topics to build greater understanding or aspiring to achieve above their target grade.
Please refer to the attachment at the bottom of this page, which details when each subject session will be running.
There will be a late bus service available Monday – Thursday to enable students to get home, and sessions will run from 3.30 - 4.30pm.
Attendance to these Upgrade sessions will also be rewarded with 'Passport to the Prom' points (more information to follow from Mr Guy). Each session attended will earn 5 points, so we would really appreciate support from parents and carers in encouraging attendance to these invaluable sessions
