Congratulations to Y11 student Poppy who has been awarded a scholarship with Webber International University in Florida, to play football for Webber Warriors.

Poppy's football journey began at just 6 years old, when she started playing at primary school and then with Altrincham FC.  In 2020, she completed a trial with Bolton Wanderers FC and was accepted on the very same day to play for their U18s and ladies' team.  Since then, Poppy, who had always been interested in playing in America, made enquiries with Five-Star International Events, who videoed her games and sent them to various coaches in America and shortly after she was offered a scholarship with Webber Warriors.

Poppy departs for sunny Florida this August, which she is very excited about. She says that she can't wait to meet her team-mates and begin her new lifestyle out there.
