Update re: face masks in school

Letter from Ms Earle: Wednesday 12 May 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

Wearing of face coverings in school

Following the most recent DFE guidance, I can confirm that, from Monday 17 May, it will no longer be compulsory for students to wear face coverings in classrooms or communal areas of school.

Students using the school bus services will still need to wear a face covering on the bus.

Staff/students are welcome to continue wearing a mask in school if this makes them feel more comfortable.

Please be aware that masks may be required again if there is a spike in local cases or a change in Government guidance.

Other Covid restrictions (e.g. ventilated classrooms, hand cleaning, year group bubbles) will remain in place for the time being.

Yours sincerely

Ms K Earle
