Superb creations in Year 7 Castle Building project

Year 7 History students display fantastic historical research and construction skills in their independent Castle Building project

We have a dedicated and passionate History Department here at Altrincham College, and we are always looking for new and exciting ways to extend our pupils learning and to make sure they leave us with an appreciation for the subject.

As such, our Year 7 pupils were recently set a task to research and construct their own castle.

The brief was to research Motte and Bailey Castles and Stone Keep Castles, choosing to produce a version of their favourite. Pupils were given just three weeks to complete the project, and all have displayed some tremendous talent and dedication in creating some striking castles.

All of our history teachers have been greatly impressed by the outstanding effort of our Year 7's throughout this Independent History project, and we are immensely proud that everyone took part with such enthusiasm.

Take a look at our HISTORY GALLERY displaying some of the amazing castle creations that our year 7 students put together.
