Year 7 Castle Building project

Impressive displays of creativity and historical research frm Year 7

For our Year 7 students, the Castle Building Project provided them with the opportunity to have fun whilst learning about history, which we truly believes helps to instill knowledge and passion for the subject.

Motte and bailey castles appeared in England after the Norman Conquest of 1066, and were a common feature in England by the death of William the Conqueror in 1087.

Their construction was the start of what was to become a massive castle building programme in England and Wales.

Take a look below at the impressive displays of creativity and historical research from our Year 7 students who produced some stunning castles.
