Ways to help your child

How can I help my child at Key Stage 4?

  1. Ensure they have a quiet place to work, preferably with access to a computer/ the Internet to research material required for the controlled assessment and the child study
  2. Monitor the completion of homework tasks when set (timetable is attached) as they are designed to spread workload of independent study over manageable period of time
  3. Ensure that your child is able to access their study child on the agreed date for their visit and that they have all the equipment that they will need
  4. Establish solid revision techniques throughout key stage 4, involving the reading notes/ revision guide, production of flash cards/ mind maps/ other revision techniques and the regular testing of these at home with another individual.
