How can I help my child at Key Stage 4?
- Ensure they have a quiet place to work, preferably with access to a computer/ the Internet to research material required for the controlled assessment and the child study
- Monitor the completion of homework tasks when set (timetable is attached) as they are designed to spread workload of independent study over manageable period of time
- Ensure that your child is able to access their study child on the agreed date for their visit and that they have all the equipment that they will need
- Establish solid revision techniques throughout key stage 4, involving the reading notes/ revision guide, production of flash cards/ mind maps/ other revision techniques and the regular testing of these at home with another individual.
