Y11 Parents' Evening

11/10/2012

France 2011

A group of students and staff visited France in March 2011. On arrival at Chez Michel in
Le Portel they ate a croissant and baguette for breakfast followed by a brief look round the Le Portel market. The rain didn't put the group off shopping.

The pupils' attempts to speak French in Chez Michel were fabulous with a few pupils asking for directions to the toilets and requesting more milk and orange juice.

Next group headed to Boulogne and the Chateau Museum where everybody was given the opportunity to purchase souvenirs and to also walk round the walls of the fortified town. This was followed by more shopping.

Lunch was by the quayside at Bar Hamlot and the gorup learnt how to say "Cheers!" in French and also thank you in French to the staff.

After lunch the group visited the Nausicaa Aquarium where they watched a brilliant seal display.
