The school office is open from 8.00 am - 4.30 pm during term time. During holiday time the office operates on a skeleton staff basis and is open from 10.00 am - 12.00 pm. However, there is always the facility to leave a message on the school answerphone.


The school office includes: - Mrs Reeves - Office Manager / Education Welfare Officer, Mrs Rocca - Finance Manager, Mrs L Moss - Finance Assistant, Mrs Leslie - Receptionist, Mrs Sawyer - Cover Supervisor / Receptionist, Mrs Nesfield - Admissions Secretary and Mrs Leech - Pastoral Secretary.


SCHOOL UNIFORM

Children must wear school uniform at all times and conform to minimal common-sense rules which are presented to them in a Pupil Booklet on entry to the school and stated on the Home/School agreement. Jewellery may not be worn under any circumstances, this includes earrings, make-up is not allowed, neither will extreme hairstyles be tolerated.

Ties and blazers are compulsory items of uniform. Only plain black school shoes must be worn. No trainers, logos, coloured trims/piping etc are allowed.

High standards of personal presentation are also evident through the required kit being worn for all PE lessons.


SCHOOL SUBSCRIPTION

All parents are invited and encouraged to make a voluntary one-off subscription to the school of £30 in year 7. Payment of this subscription entitles membership of the Association of Parents and Friends of Altrincham College of Arts. School Fund provides additional resources and equipment for pupils to enjoy.

From time to time parents may be asked to make a voluntary contribution for various school activities that it would not otherwise be possible for the school to fund. No pupil will be prevented from participating in the academic life of the school on financial grounds.

  1. 8.45 a.m. - 9.05 a.m. - Registration and Assembly

  2. 9.05 a.m. - 9.55 a.m. - Period 1

  3. 9.55 a.m. - 10.45 a.m. - Period 2

  4. 10.45 a.m. - 11.00 a.m. - Break

  5. 11.00 a.m. - 11.50 a.m. - Period 3

  6. 11.50 a.m. - 12.40 p.m. - Period 4

  7. 12.40 p.m. - 1.30 p.m. - Lunch

  8. 1.40 p.m. - 1.50 p.m. - Registration

  9. 1.50 p.m. - 2.40 p.m. - Period 5

  10. 2.40 p.m. - 3.20 p.m. - Period 6

The above times vary slightly on a Friday with school finishing at 2.50 p.m.

Total taught hours - 24 hours 50 minutes per week.
