Visits and Residentials

Pupils in all year groups are given the opportunity to take part in residential visits. They can try their hand at outdoor pursuits including canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, skiing and pony trekking.

In 2010/11 Year 7 visited Scarborough and the Lake District, Year 8 participated in two activity days based in Derbyshire and Year 9 had an outdoor pursuits residential in the Lake District. In addition, there are regular Easter ski holidays, summer European sports tours and a number of subject linked residential and field study visits.

In addition to residentials, many other visits, including theatre trips, out of school workshops, museum and gallery visits, all extend and enhance learning in school.

Our Aim Higher and Gifted & Talented Programmes arrange for students in all year groups to visit Universities in order to encourage aspirations through to our Sixth Form and on to higher education.
